1930 - The Birth of Château Minuty:
It was Gabriel Farnet who completely replanted Domaine and restored all its splendor to Château Minuty, built under Napoléon III, as well as the small chapel that will give its name to the Cuvée de l'Oratoire, which has long remained the emblem of Château. In 1955, Château Minuty was one of 23 properties to be distinguished as Cru Classé from Côtes de Provence.
1960 - The replanting of Château Minuty:
Monique Farnet, daughter of Gabriel, and her husband Etienne Matton replanted traditional Provençal grape varieties (tibouren, rolle, grenache) and initiated the limited and low yields for high quality winemaking.
1990 - Minuty's influence:
Today, Jean-Etienne and François Matton, the children, a third generation have taken over. They continue to restructure the vineyard by replacing carignan and ugni blanc with grenache and rolle.
A 70-hectare Domaine in integrated farming with an annual production around 500,000 bottles depending on the year. Vines aged on average 25 years on shist soils.
Château Minuty's top-of-the-line Rosé is a blend of 95% Grenache and 5% Syrah harvested and sorted by hand.
Very pale salmon pink color.
In the nose: peach flowers with a hint of violet and small red fruits.
In the mouth: a beautiful mineral expression with a touch of citrus.
Perfect as an aperitif or with grilled fish.
