It was Marcel OTT, agronomist engineer, who since 1896 acquired lands he named Domaines d’OTT. With a dedicated passion, he replanted with noble grape varieties to rebirth these great Provence wines, worthy of a millennium tradition.
Every OTT vineyard is cultivated with full respect to nature. Great care is given to the soil, without any chemical treatment or intensive production.
The older vine is replaced to get a constant quality to the wines of both domains. Over the years, every one of them was patiently rebuilt to create the best culture conditions, in espalier or terrace. This regularity allows for a natural draining, without run-off, thus preserving the soil and its character. The organic fertilizers are organic, the vine fencing is done with iron wire. Juice fermentation starts in tanks, then maturation takes place in oak barrels. The domains are currently ones of the most well-knowns, the most rigorous, and the best preserved in Provence.
