La Maison Rémi Landier is a renowned Cognac distillery, renowned for its family heritage, tradition and constant quest for exceptional quality.
Founded in the 19th century, this family-run house has managed to pRéserver its history while remaining at the forefront of Cognac craftsmanship.
The story goes back to the late 19th century when Léopold Landier, a passionate winegrower and distiller, established the distillery in Juillac-le-Coq, in the heart of the Grande Champagne region, the most prestigious cru of Cognac. Léopold Landier quickly earned a reputation for producing Cognacs of exceptional quality, thanks to his commitment to excellence and respect for tradition.
Over the generations, the family has preserved this precious heritage. Today, the distillery is run by the fourth generation of the family, Hervé Landier and his son, Rémi Landier. This family continuity is a testament to the family's unwavering commitment to tradition and quality.
The Domaine extends over 58 hectares of vines, mainly planted with Ugni Blanc, the grape variety favored for the production of Cognac. The vineyards benefit from an exceptional terroir, composed of limestone and clay-limestone soils, which give the grapes a unique aromatic richness and complexity. The grapes are harvested by hand to guarantee their quality.
The specialty of Maison Rémi Landier is the production of Cognac Grande Champagne, the most prestigious cru of Cognac. The eaux-de-vie are distilled in traditional copper stills, preserving the aromas and unique characteristics of the terroir. Aging takes place in French oak barrels, where the Cognacs develop their complexity, elegance and character over the years.
