A house of the Second French Empire under Napoléon III based in Cognac.
It was a British from London Anthony Hardy who founded this house in 1863.
In 1869 in Amsterdam this house obtained the diploma of excellence for its Cognac fine Champagne (a blend of Cognac from Grande Champagne 1er cru and Cognac petite Champagne classified legally 2nd cru with a minimum of 50% Cognac Grande Champagne).
In 1891, in Saint Petersburg, the house Hardy received the gold medal of the alliance as a tribute to the Franco-Russian friendship.
Today the House Hardy is directed by a fifth generation.
This is a Cognac from a successful blend by the Cellar Master, of Grande Champagne, the Premier Cru from the Cognac region and Petite Champagne the two best Crus from this delimited Cognac region according to the laws and decrees of 1936.
These Cognacs all originating from these two best terroirs were made from grapes from the vineyards then distilled and aged for a quarter of a century.
La robe is mahogany from Cuba.
The palate and nose reveal in the first tasting attack exceptional fragrances of white flowers with a very fine hint of violet, cut hay, summer lime and flavors of Secs grapes, Virginia blond tobacco, spices such as ginger with a hint of coriander, black and gray pepper, musk, acacia honey, ending with a very long mocha finish.
