Normandin-Mercier

Cognac Normandin-Mercier, it's an old 18th-century dwelling nestled in the saintongeaise countryside surrounded by cellars where the treasures of this House dating from the Second French Empire under Napoléon III sleep.

Created in 1872, today a fifth generation is looking after this long-established heritage, hidden not far from La Rochelle,  "the rebel city" with its headquarters by Louis XIII and Richelieu, the port of origin for the first shipments of wines and then later in the 17th century of brandies distilled in its hinterland named Cognac from the mid-19th century onwards.

This is where Premiers Grands Crus, true to its Quality Charter, has unearthed this gem of Cognac.

Description Normandin-Mercier Cuvée 150 ans.

This exceptional bottle pays tribute to a century and a half of excellence and to the legacy left by the founder of Cognacs Normandin-Mercier, Jules Normandin. Issued in a numbered series limited to 1,000 bottles, the 150-year cuvée is the quintessence of the Grande Champagne cru.

This Cognac Brut de fût, adorned with a deep amber color, has the exceptional distinction of having aged in casks made from hundred-year-old oak from Domaine de Normandin-Mercier. A detail that attests to the deep connection between the house and its terroir.

On the nose, this nectar reveals a complex Rare. Aromas of vanilla mingle with toasted hazelnut and sandalwood, preparing the palate for an unforgettable taste experience. Tasting reveals the purity and finesse characteristic of the Grande Champagne vintage, with surprising notes of prune, apricot Sec and violet.
