François Voyer

La Maison François Voyer is located in Verrières in one of the most typical villages with its valleys and limestone hills of the Grande Champagne of Cognac, classified Premier Cru of the Region of Cognac, right at the top of the qualitative hierarchy of the Cognacs.

The Chauchet Voyer family has been distilling wine from the harvest and aging its eaux de vie in oak barrels since the 1870s, more than 5 generations.

This House produces a wide range of Cognacs all from the best Cru: the Grande Champagne from Cognac.

Description Francois Voyer Napoléon.

The Chauchet Voyer family has been distilling and aging eaux-de-vie in oak barrels for five generations, concentrating on the Grande Champagne cru where they now own 28 hectares of vines planted mainly with Ugni Blanc. It's this combination of terroir and grape variety that gives our eaux de vie their freshness, minerality and aromatic palette. Complexity comes with ageing. Aging takes place in 2 stages: a 3-year period in cellars Secs, with 20% of the stock in new oak barrels, followed by a long rest in red barrels housed in a damp cellar. The final blend is made up of eaux de vie aged between 12 and 20 years.

This Napoléon offers a beautiful amber color with hints of old gold. The nose opens with soft floral notes of rose, jasmine and carnation, and very quickly switches to richer, fruitier sensations of Ente plum and peach, finishing with warmer aromas of vanilla, nuts and chocolate. The palate is powerful, suave and elegant all at once, with soft fruit, candied citrus, grape Sec enhanced by a delicate woodiness.

This Cognac Napoléon from Maison François Voyer brings roundness and gourmandise to a simple stuffed pigeon or cherry-glazed lamb chops.
