Gourry de Chadeville

Since 1619, the Gourry de Chadeville family, owners of Domaine of Chadeville, have been cultivating their vineyard in Segonzac. A house that has stood the test of time since 1619, in the heart of the Cognac 1st Growth, producing a "GRANDE FINE Champagne".
All of its Cognacs come exclusively from blends of Cognac Grande Fine Champagne, and age for many years in oak barrels on Domaine exclusively.

Description Gourry de Chadeville Mémoire.

It is a Cognac Grande Fine Champagne coming exclusively from the Gourry de Chadeville vineyard in the heart of this exceptional terroir.

In accordance with laws and decrees, cognacs coming exclusively from the Grande Champagne terroir classified Premier Cru at the very top of the qualitative hierarchy of Cognacs can bear the Grande Fine Champagne or Grande Champagne appellation.

This cognac is a blend of several cognacs, the youngest of which (in accordance with the law) is at least 10 years old. These cognacs have aged in French oak barrels.

The color is bright amber

On the nose and on the palate, this cognac tastes 30 years of aging (sic) with very nice touches of white spring flowers such as wild hawthorn or burlat cherry blossom on the first attack, followed by musk, leather with some hints of liquorice and candied fruits such as apricot or Agen prune, to finish with very marked notes of chocolate and mocha with a mini-dash of woody vanilla. Very nice length in the mouth.

Pairings: with chocolate cakes or coffee éclairs, after a meal by heating the tulip glass in your hand. Maybe a question: to try: as an aperitif cocktail with a citrus schweppes.

The bottles should be stored away from light while taking care to leave as little empty air space as possible in the bottle.
