It is a Grande Champagne cognac classified Premier Cru of the delimited region of Cognac whose wines were harvested and distilled before 1914 and composed of several Grande Champagne cognacs from before that date exclusively.

Sight: deep amber, Cuban mahogany

On the nose: very rich aromatic palette with woody scents of cedar from Lebanon, cinnamon and nutmeg.

The palate is very round with magnificent touches of oriental spices such as nutmeg, gray and black pepper, cherry stone and candied Ante plum. The finish is very round and long in the mouth.

A house of the Second French Empire under Napoleon III based in Cognac.

It was a British man from London, Anthony Hardy, who founded this house in 1863.

In 1869 in Amsterdam, this house obtained the diploma of excellence for its fine champagne cognac (a blend of Cognac from Grande Champagne 1er cru and small champagne cognac legally classified 2nd cru with a minimum of 50% of Grand Champagne Cognac).

In 1891, in Saint Petersburg, the Hardy house received the gold medal of the alliance in tribute to Franco-Russian friendship.

Today Maison Hardy is managed by a fifth generation.
