It is by going back to 1650 that this very old family of winegrowers finds the traces of its origins. Since then, generation after generation, each Giraud has been performing the same gestures for almost four centuries, accumulating a priceless heritage and knowledge.
Their vineyards with a total area of approximately 35 hectares are both located on the Grande Champagne terroir classified Premier Cru of the Region of Cognac, a classification at the very top of the qualitative hierarchy of Cognacs produced in the heart of the delimited production area.
It is in the shadow of the Château of the Montmorency-Bouteville, a famous French family, close to the Crown of France, in Bouteville precisely on the one hand and on the other hand in Saint-Même, two villages renowned for the quality of the limestone soils, that the vineyards of this family are located.
The grape harvest is done by hand. Their Cognacs, some of which are 50 years old are aged in Limousin oak barrels in very humid cellars, an optimal aging criterion sought by the very professional Cognacs.
The dress is amber supported.
Nose and palate: very well balanced with fragrances of freshly cut dried spring herbs, blond tobacco with hints of musk with a nice long finish of candied fruits like plum or apricot, with very fine touches of leather and hints of chocolate and mocha.
To be enjoyed after a meal with friends or family. It is the ideal vintage for sharing cognac.
