Godet

Godet is a House of Commerce of Cognac founded in 1782 but earlier records allow us to go back to 1550 when Bonnaventure Godet who came from the Netherlands set up a wine business on the Quai de La Rochelle.

Later, Jean Godet ennobled by King Louis XIV of France was Mayor for life of Fontenais.

It was in 1782 at the 7th generation that the House Godet was registered in the Trade Register as a merchant in Cognac, a key act authenticating this house.

Today the House Godet is run by a fifteenth of the name and still in La Rochelle.

Description Godet 22 Years Old.

Aged for more than 22 years in French oak barrels, this cognac comes exclusively from the small area of Grande Champagne, a cru classified Premier for its exceptional olfactory and gustatory qualities.
To the eye : very marked amber
In the mouth as in the nose: a wide range of aromas and flavors with a very long finish on coffees and mochas.
