Hine

The House Hine is located on the banks of the Charente River, in the heart of the Cognac region in Jarnac. In its cellars, which protect the precious vintages under seal, little has changed in 250 years. From the nearby wharves, the Cognacs Hine once began their journey around the world. This house, founded in 1763 by Thomas Hine's father-in-law, is one of the oldest houses in Cognac..
Sent to France by his father, Thomas Hine, aged sixteen, disembarked in France, in Nantes in 1791, went to Bordeaux where he stayed for some time, then joined Jarnac, a small town in the South-West of France near Cognac, where since 1763 the merchant who created the Cognac preferred by his father was based. He is recruited as a clerk. Very quickly, Thomas meets Elisabeth, daughter of the prestigious merchant. Love at first sight. In 1796, at the age of twenty-two, Thomas married Elisabeth.
Thomas mastered finance and business perfectly. He developed the traditional activity of the House and in 1817 he gave the company the name it still bears today: Thomas Hine & Cie.
Will be registered in 1867 the emblem (Trade mark) of Hine: the Stag.
From a wide range of Cognacs, the House Premiers Grands Crus chose only Cognacs Grande Champagne, Premier Cru from the region of Cognac: XO, TRIOMPHE and the famous Vintages of this House.

Description Hine Homage XO.

It is a blend of cognacs, all from Grande Champagne, a rare land for its limestone characteristics, and classified for these reasons as Premier Cru of the delimited Cognac region.
The cognacs, the youngest of which is 10 years old, are aged in French oak barrels.
The robe is a deep amber with some old gold reflections mixed with purple.
Fragrances and flavors on notes of white flowers with touches of acacia honey and violet, harmoniously mixed with almost imperceptible hints of Cordovan leather, apricot confit with a very long finish remarkable on chocolates.
Very expressive: to be tasted in a tulip glass in order to capture the rich layers of fragrances from white flowers to musk and old Cordovan leather scents. Rare.
Other : in long drink with a citrus schweppes.
