It is on the "Bergeronettes" property - a vineyard of about 25 hectares - that François Peyrot practices his art, which he has held for several generations.
The vineyard is located in Gondeville on the edge of Grande Champagne, the Premier Cru de Cognac, classified at the very top of the qualitative hierarchy of the Cognac crus. It is led by a third generation of "Peyrot" since 1893.
It is a blend of cognacs coming exclusively from Grande Champagne, classified as Premier Cru, one of the crus of the delimited region of cognac and placed at the top of the quality hierarchy because of its very chalky soil, a key element to obtain an optimal quality of the wines which, after distillation in two stages, will concentrate the perfumes and the tastes. This is an art that has been passed down from generation to generation.
The blending during the aging process takes over: a second art that is all the more successful because it has been passed down from generation to generation.
The color is mahogany while, after visual analysis, the nose reveals very fine floral expressions. The mouth is very ample and rich with a very diversified palette on a blond tobacco with smoky expressions, spices like grey and black peppers, musk and coffee/cocoa for example.
Serve at room temperature with Romeo and Juliet or Cohiba after a chocolate dessert and a great vintage of coffee.
