La Fontaine de La Pouyade

La Fontaine de La Pouyade

La Fontaine de La Pouyade Cognac today belongs to a fourteenth generation of the Plantevigne-Dubosquet family, rooted in the Cognac region since the 17th century.

La Fontaine de La Pouyade is the name reserved for the best Cognacs chosen by the current descendant, holder and heir to a unique know-how handed down from generation to generation, Cognac so named in homage to this Fountain mentioned in a deed of 1713.

Only one quality is produced by the House, right at the top in the niche of the Grands Cognacs. La Fontaine de La Pouyade comes exclusively from the heart of the Cognac delimited region: Grande Champagne classified as Premier Cru.

This Cognac is composed exclusively of very old Eaux-de-Vie, preciously kept in Dame-jeanne once they have reached their peak of aging. Special care is taken at every stage of production to ensure that this exceptional Rare quality reaches its peak of refinement and passion.

The grapes are harvested exclusively on the limestone hillsides of Grande Champagne, where the sun's rays are most intense. The yield per hectare is lower than in the other Crus but, after longer aging, it brings incomparable olfactory and gustatory length.

Description La Fontaine de La Pouyade Miniature.

Only one quality is produced by the House, right at the top in the niche of the Grands Cognacs. La Fontaine de La Pouyade comes exclusively from the heart of the Cognac delimited region: the Grande Champagne classified Premier Cru.

The grapes are harvested exclusively on the limestone hillsides of Grande Champagne, where the sun's ardors are most intense. The yield per hectare is more difficult to achieve than in the other Crus but, after longer aging, it brings incomparable olfactory and gustatory lengths.

Before the onset of Spring, Cognac will fall asleep, forgetting time, under the watchful eye of several generations of winemaker cellar masters, in barrels made from the heart of Très vieux oaks.

In a hand-finished 17th-century style bottle, capped and sealed with wax, each bottle is dressed in a 24-carat fine gold label, the work of master goldsmiths, identified by a unique number engraved in the glass and recorded on a certificate.

Only a few hundred bottles are available annually worldwide.
