Delamotte

This House of Champagne was created in 1760 in Reims by François Delamotte, the founder. Some time later, his son Alexandre bought a house and cellars in Mesnil-sur-Oger, where Delamotte is still located.

The brand and premises were then bought in 1927 by Marie-Louise de Nonancourt, and it was her son, Charles, who ran it from 1948 to 1988.

Then, in 1988, the house was bought by Laurent-Perrier  and was managed by Bernard de Nonancourt until 2010, when Alexandra and Stéphanie de Nonancourt took up the torch to write the future of this House.

Description Delamotte Brut Rosé.

This is a Champagne made from a blend of Grand Cru Chardonnay exclusively from Mesnil-sur-Oger and Pinot Noir from the Grands Crus exposed on the south-eastern slopes of the Montagne de Reims, in the villages of Bouzy, Ambonnay and Tours-sur-Marne.

Blend : 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay

This Champagne is an exception obtained by co-fermentation and by bleeding - even rarer.

The dress is a beautiful salmon pink color

The mouth is on red fruits like strawberry, raspberry with a very light touch of wild strawberry, heritage of its origin from the Grands Crus of Pinot Noir.

The maceration before the bleeding of the chardonnays gives it its perfumes of white flowers like hawthorn, pomegranate or cherry blossom.

The wine goes down into the cellars where it will remain on its lees for three or four years before disgorging.

To be served around 12°C.

A wine for an aperitif or for an afternoon visit with a raspberry charlotte or at the end of dinner with a red fruit soup.
