A Champagne exclusively from the Mesnil-sur-Oger plots.

- +

This champagne comes from a single grape variety: Chardonnay, a single plot : Mesnil-sur-Oger, and a single year.

The vinification process takes place in barrels and the wine ages for more than four years.

The colour is a beautiful golden shade with light green hues.

To the nose: aromas of pastries, vanilla, candied pear, acacia honey, white pepper followed by touches of acid apple and finely wooden orange blossom.

To the palate: grilled brioche, pecans and touches of oak wood brought with the vinification in barrels. Lingering finish with fine notes of fresh hazelnut, Menton lemon and ginger.

Great potential of ageing.

To be served around 10 to 12°C.

Ideal with a seafood platter (urchins, Marennes oysters). Also fits perfectly with grilled fishes or as a Champagne sauce with Bar or Saint-Pierre.

Size :Bottle 0,75L
Alcohol Degree :12°
Appellation :Champagne Grand Cru
Vintage :2009

JL Vergnon Champagne, five generations and almost two centuries in the same winery, that first welcomed the Regnault Frères House, from which one of the heirs married a Vergnon.

A son, Jean-Louis, was born from this marriage, and in the 1950s he recreated the vineyard on the Côte des Blancs in Mesnil-sur-Oger. He then gave to the House its current name, Champagne JL Vergnon.

His son Alain took over in 1979, currently followed by Didier and Brigitte, with help from a renowned oenologist, Christophe Constant.

Located in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, the Vergnon House elaborates its Champagnes exclusively from grape harvested on vineyards located in Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger and Avize, all classified Grand Cru and exclusively planted in the Chardonnay variety.
