Eric Rodez

It is now almost three centuries that the Rodez are attached to the land of Champagne and more particularly to the terroir of Ambonnay and to its charming little village, whose small streets are lined by the walls of the wine properties. Eric Rodez and his wife Martine have been farming 6 hectares of vines for several years according to the principles of Organic Agriculture and Biodynamics, and have since handed over to their son Mickael who embodies the ninth generation.

The House Eric Rodez: a life of passion for 9 generations

The Rodez family comes from a long line of winemakers where each generation has contributed to chiseling the sumptuous terroir where they are located, so that it expresses all its richness. Today there are 6 hectares that make up the vineyard at Ambonnay, 4 in Pinot Noir and 2 in Chardonnay. The respect and full development of the vine have always been for them a daily concern, which is why Eric Rodez committed its Domaine in the conversion to Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture since 2009. In 2012, the farm was certified in "High Environmental Value". The philosophy of Maison Rodez is thus guided by this winemaking common sense that allows a beautiful maintenance of biodiversity, which ultimately offers Champagnes delivering pleasure and enjoyment.

La Maison Eric Rodez: an exceptional know-how

As in the past, Maison Eric Rodez continues to follow a credo, that of vinifying a major part of its Champagnes in oak barrels. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay get their generosity and finesse respectively. Some wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation, which allows them, once blended, to age longer in the cellar while enhancing their qualities. These methods help to shape complex and highly refined Champagnes.

The House's signature cuvées Eric Rodez

The cuvée Blanc de blancs Grand Cru is a blend of more than 15 wines from 5 to 6 different vintages. Generous and harmoniously fruity, it offers a subtle freshness that makes it the perfect companion for the aperitif.

Let's mention the sumptuous Blanc de noirs Grand Cru, powerful and vinous where the Pinot Noir expresses all its fullness. Composed of 7 different years, it is a Champagne of a beautiful balance that will complement all types of meals.

The Cuvée des Crayères is, so to speak, unmissable, proving to be structured and very elegant. Its constant freshness and floral touches make it suitable for pairing with delicate dishes.

The Cuvée des Grands Vintages is made with the heads of the best vintages, the cream of the crop, which are vinified totally under wood. Elements that make it a Champagne ample, elegant and unparalleled richness.

Whatever the occasion to celebrate, the House Eric Rodez will have something to satisfy all requirements, thanks to beautiful vintages where the imprint of passion is found right in the glass.
