Maison Perrier-Jouët was founded in 1811 in Epernay by the union of Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adélaïde Jouët.
A pioneer in the qualitative development of Champagne wines, the House was the first to indicate the year of the vintage on its labels for greater transparency with customers. This is how the selection of the harvests begins, which may or may not be used in the production of Perrier-Jouët Champagnes in order to always guarantee exceptional quality.
This wine cellar of great vintages is kept secretly in the cellars of the House and the oldest dates back to 1825.
The search for excellence quickly led to the fame of Perrier-Jouët Champagnes, which are served at great tables including the Royal Courts of Napoleon III and Queen Victoria.
The elegance of the Cuvées echoes and the House decides to affix Art Nouveau style anemones to their Prestige Cuvée: Belle Epoque, which will also be selected by Princess Grace of Monaco for the Bal de la Rose.
The Vineyard is now made up of 65 hectares distributed mainly over 5 Crus: Cramant and Avize (Côte des Blancs), Mailly (Montagne de Reims), Aÿ and Dizy.
