Boizel

This is a family-run Maison located in Epernay since 1834, that is five generations of prosperity, exacting standards, generosity, loyalty, with an umbrella of a certain taste for freedom.

However, their success was to suffer the consequences of the SecWorld War II, the owners at the time took over, innovated, exported, and ultimately saved the family business, notably with an investment fund's acquisition of a stake in 1994.

The Boizel-Chanoine Champagne group came into being with the merger of the Champagnes Chanoine, before becoming Lanson-BBC in 2010.

Description Boizel Blanc de Blancs.

La Maison Boizel launched its first Blanc de blancs in 1929, already with the idea of testing new things without deviating from a guarantee of the highest quality.

Still today, great care is taken in selecting the grapes; this pure Chardonnay is a blend of Premiers and Grand Crus from the Côte des blancs, Chouilly for floral, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger for mineral, Cramant for power or Vertus for fruitiness and elegance.

To protect the particularities of each village, the parcels are vinified separately.

The wines, after receiving 20% wine from Réserve, are aged on lees in barrels and stainless steel tanks for 3 years.

After disgorging, a dosage of 6g/L is applied.

This Champagne, pale gold in color with light green highlights, features regular strings of fine bubbles.

The nose offers up its floral side, acacia and hawthorn for elegance, then more generous notes of honey, almond and brioche, finishing with citrus fruits, markers of freshness.

The palate is silky, full-bodied, with intense aromas of hazelnut, toast and grapefruit.

A refined minerality confirms the elegance and freshness on the finish.

The very airy character of this Blanc de blancs makes it an ideal aperitif companion, when its fullness enables it to sit just right alongside a grilled back of sea bass with asparagus.
