Description Penet Chardonnet Prestige Grande Réserve 2008.

This artisan house of Verzy specializes in producing wines with little or no dosage. With a blend of wines at least eight years old, Grande Réserve has a lovely, appetizing nose of ripe, vigorous, energetic chardonnay.  

The Champagne is adorned with a beautiful golden yellow color, a sign of ripeness and great fruit richness. The attack is round, evoking grapefruit, melon, then softens on the palate with notes of vanilla and toasted hazelnuts. All this is accompanied by elegant acidity that gives the wine great balance and freshness, with a long, mineral and vinous finish. 

Very lightly dosed, this Champagne will be equally enjoyable as an aperitif or on a seafood platter.
