The House Joseph Perrier created in 1825 is, as in the past, still located in Chalons en Champagne. It is now run by a fifth generation.
Thereby, the house has been operating its vineyards for almost 195 years. It currently owns 21 hectares, vinifies its wines and vintages the greatest years.
Their wines are aged in cellars dug into the chalk on the same level, some of the galleries of which date back to the Gallo-Roman period, when already the Aquitanian poet Ausonius celebrated the vine and the Emperor Probus granted Gaul the right to plant vines. These cellars, which extend for about 3 kilometers and overhang the house, are pierced by essors-sort of skylights equipped at their feet with an inclined reflector that reflects the light back into the galleries.
