It was Florens-Louis Heidsieck, originally from Westphalia, who founded the Champagne Heidsieck et Cie cloth and wine trading house in 1785 in Reims. He even had the privilege of presenting his wine to the French Queen Marie-Antoinette.

When Florens-Louis Heidsieck died in 1828, his nephew Christian Heidsieck took over the business in partnership with Henri-Guillaume Piper. The company grew rapidly, but in 1835 Christian Heidsieck died, and his wife remarried Henri-Guillaume Piper, who gave his name to the company, now Piper-Heidsieck.

Description Rare Vintage 2008.

The color is Crystal Gold in a fine and joyful effervescence.

The nose reveals the purity and fragrance of orange blossom, hyacinth and white flowers. Then the vanilla flower, a touch of fresh coconut, aromas of Williams pear and fresh almond enriched with notes of mandarin and blackcurrant bud.

The palate: there are notes of fresh pineapple, passion fruit, kiwi, coconut and tangy citrus. They mingle with spring accents of incomparable length. Finally, the finish, punctuated by salinity, remarkable and iodine, prolongs this discovery of pure and infinite spring.
