Vines 50 to 80 years old located in Cramant: "Bourron du Levant".

- +

It is an Extra Brut champagne coming from an assembly exclusively of wines from different plots of the Coteau de Cramant classified Grands Cru and exposed to the Levant.

This privileged exposure associated with a very calcareous soil on which the vines are more than forty years old and for some more than eighty years old contribute to the birth of an exceptional wine.

The wine is aged in barrels and in tuns for 11 months before going down to the cellar for aging on slats for more than 7 years before disgorging, as in the past, by hand.

The color of this blanc de blancs 100% Chardonnay grape variety is dazzling gold

On the palate and on the nose: a very beautiful symphony of fragrances of white spring and summer flowers such as peach, pear or apple, elegantly mixed with citrus zest of Menton lemon, lime, Kumquat with smoked pizzicati, hot brioche and toasted buns.

It is a wine to keep, bottles lying in the cellar, protected from light and noise with an optimal humidity of 70%. It will be necessary to take care to taste it from time to time in order to capture its evolution until its qualitative peak.

Food / wine pairing: as an aperitif around 8 to 10 ° C with crustaceans such as lobster, langoustine or small prawns.

Wonderful on citrus sorbets and splendid on a Norwegian vanilla and dark chocolate omelet.

The Larmandier and Bernier families have been involved in the Champagne vineyards since the French revolution. The Larmandiers even participated in the rise of the Côte des Blancs with the fame of their Cuvée Cramant Blanc de Blancs Nature.

From the 20th century, Jules Larmandier produced Champagne with remarkable taste qualities, and it was very quickly that many great Parisian tables took an interest in it. Larmandier Champagnes are therefore already served at the Tour d'Argent, Taillevant, Charlot king of shells ...

Champagne Larmandier-Bernier was created in 1971 by Philippe Larmandier (grandson of Jules Larmandier) and his wife Elisabeth Bernier (owner of vineyards in Vertus). Since 1982, Elisabeth has been at the head of the family house and Pierre, their son, decides to take up this profession which is so close to her heart in 1988.

Since that day, Pierre Larmandier has continued to improve the quality of his vineyard and these Champagnes by researching more responsible viticulture methods (since 1999, the estate has been cultivated using Biodynamics).

The estate is now made up of approximately 15 hectares spread over the most beautiful terroirs of the Côte des Blancs: Vertus classified Premier Cru and Cramant, Chouilly, Oger, Avize, classified Grands Crus.
