Bonnaire

The house Bonnaire was founded in 1932 on one of the most beautiful crus of the Champagne, the village of Cramant north of the Côte des blancs. A family-owned and independent house specializing in Champagnes Blanc de blancs whose great finesse helped build its reputation, it now reigns over a 22-hectare vineyard classified as Grand Cru.

What is the history of the House of Bonnaire?

It was in 1932 that Fernand Bouquement founded his own house of Champagne. In the aftermath of the SecWorld War II, he was joined by his son-in-law André Bonnaire, who would prove to be particularly passionate about the cultivation of the vine and would pay a lot of attention to it. His son Jean-Louis will take over and will make the House Bonnaire one of the most famous of the Côte des blancs. A particularly talented winemaker, he spent the last years of his life sharing his passion with his two sons, Jean-Etienne and Jean-Emmanuel, who today represent the fourth generation. True to their father's memory and philosophy, they continue to produce chiseled Champagnes of great freshness and energy.

The House of Bonnaire: exceptional know-how

To this day the Bonnaire family has the largest vineyard are the largest owners of Grand Cru classified vines in the village of Cramant, with 22 hectares planted primarily with Chardonnay, as well as Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Their vineyards have always been carefully managed, ensuring that the grapes reach a good maturity coupled with a good level of acidity to guarantee a nice balance of Champagnes. Vinified in a delicate manner, their Champagnes are among the most representative of the Côte des blancs: they are beautifully pure, creamy and persistent.

The House's iconic Bonnaire cuvées

The charm of the Blanc de blancs Grand Cru does not leave one indifferent. Composed of 100% Chardonnay, it expresses itself with a nice freshness and offers an aromatic framework on white flowers.

And when you pass on a Blanc de blancs Grand Cru vintage 2015, you take a step further towards hedonism. Its nose of brioche and toasty aromas makes it a good match for fine foods such as porcini ravioli with scallops.

As for the Brut nature, its sublime freshness, minerality and energy make it wonderful with an aperitif.

The Champagnes from the House of Bonnaire will not fail to seduce the most curious taste buds, thanks to their refined style that make them a sure bet.
