From the terroir of Mareuil sur Aÿ located on the edge of the canal and the Marne.

- +

It is a white champagne whose grapes have been meticulously harvested and which come from the very limestone plot of Le Montgruguet in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, classified Premier Cru vintage 2016.

The grape variety is 100% Pinot Noir and the wine has been aged in small French oak barrels.

The color is old gold with light emerald shiny streaks.

The nose on the first attack is very finely chiseled red berry such as raspberry, burlat cherry or even sweetheart or wild strawberry followed by notes of toasted brioche to finish with vanilla expressions.

The palate is an extension of olfactory expressions such as bread or toasted brioche and red fruits.

It is a champagne not only as an aperitif but also at the start of a meal with fish such as poached turbot, sea bass oula plie à la plancha or sole with white butter.

To be served around 10 to 12 ° C but not colder in order to keep all the flavors and scents in perfect harmony with this finely chiseled work.

Located in Mareuil sur Aÿ, the Maison de Champagne Roger Pouillon was founded in 1947.

The house nowadays is managed by the third generation: Fabrice Pouillon

It is a very fragmented vineyard spread over 36 plots representing an area of 6.5 hectares. The vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grape varieties.

The cellars are buried 15 meters deep, a unique situation very favorable to optimal aging, providing the wines with rare and exceptional qualities.
