The Cuvée Les Terres Froides from Maison R. Pouillon comes more precisely from the place called Les Fourches. It is a clay-limestone terroir that reveals the purest expression of the Chardonnay grape variety.
The wine is exclusively harvested in the commune of Tarifières, classified Premier Cru. It is a blend of wine of the year and reserve wines from previous years.
The dress is light gold.
The nose is very flowery on citrus fruits, a characteristic which is found in the mouth with an exceptional length.
It is an aperitif wine par excellence, perfect on toast of smoked trout or as a starter in consomme flavored with chanterelles.

Located in Mareuil sur Aÿ, the Maison de Champagne Roger Pouillon was founded in 1947.
The house nowadays is managed by the third generation: Fabrice Pouillon
It is a very fragmented vineyard spread over 36 plots representing an area of 6.5 hectares. The vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grape varieties.
The cellars are buried 15 meters deep, a unique situation very favorable to optimal aging, providing the wines with rare and exceptional qualities.
