Domaine Jacques Selosse was founded in 1949 in the Grand Cru village of Avize. His son, Anselme, took over the estate in 1974 to make it the little rising star of Champagne.
Each year, only 50,000 bottles are produced at the Jacques Selosse estate, which consists of 7.5 hectares spread over extraordinary terroirs that Anselme Selosse has managed to sublimate plot by plot.
The Chardonnay plots are located on the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Cramant, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger while the Pinot Noir plots come from the Montagne de Reims: Aÿ, Ambonnay and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.
The quality of Selosse Champagnes is recognized by all the great critics and the bottles are highly prized all over the world due to the low production.
