Jacques Selosse

The Domaine Jacques Selosse was founded in 1949 in the village Grand Cru of Avize. His son, Anselme, has taken over Domaine since 1974 to make it the small rising star of Champagne.

Only 50,000 bottles are produced each year at Domaine Jacques Selosse, made up of 7.5 hectares spread over Extraordinary terroirs that Anselme Selosse has succeeded in sublimating plot by plot.

The Chardonnay parcels are located on Côte des blancs : Avize, Cramant, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger while the Pinot Noir parcels come from Montagne de Reims : Aÿ, Ambonnay and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.

The quality of Selosse's Champagnes is recognized by all the major critics, and the bottles are highly prized all over the world given the low production.

The Champagnes Jacques Selosse are famous for their vinosity, purity and perfectly controlled oxidative notes, as well as utterly irresistible gingerbread and apple aromas.

Description Jacques Selosse Rosé.

The Champagne Rosé from Maison Jacques Selosse is a blend of two vintages of Avize chardonnay (94%) and Ambonnay pinot noir (6%). This Grand Cru is produced in very small quantities (2000 bottles).

Vinification and ageing take place in Burgundian barrels (Maison style), then after blending and bottling, a long ageing process is spread out in the cellar over 6 years. Finally, this powerful, vinous Champagne is lightly dosed at 1.5g/L.

La robe is a luminous, salmon-pink color. The nose is a veritable procession of fruit and spices: apple (Maison style), wild strawberry, pomegranate, pineapple, vanilla ginger, almond ... making it a dense, charming Champagne Rosé, between gourmandise and lightness. The palate is full and light at the same time, marked by tangy notes of redcurrant, raspberry, lemon and grapefruit; we also find those eXOtic notes of musk and ginger that confirm this wild freshness. The finish is very long, straight and airy, with a persistent return of minerality and spices.
This is a pure delight that will sublimate a crab turnover, goat Secs cheeses or even a red fruit vanilla entremet.
