Duval-Leroy

In 1859, the Maison Duval-Leroy est crée par l'association d'Armand Leroy et de Jules Duval.

Today, the estate cultivates 200 hectares planted mainly with grape varieties Chardonnay from parcels classified Grand Cru or Premier Cru at the very top of the Crus scale created in 1911.

This House based in Vertus in Champagne is currently run by the 6th generation.

Nowadays, the House produces many qualities, each more remarkable than the next.

Description Duval-Leroy Femme de Champagne.

The Cellar Master has succeeded in blending wines from different great years coming exclusively from Grands Crus, classified at the very top of the quality hierarchy of Champagnes. It is made from 87% Chardonnay grapes and 13% Pinot Noir grapes.

All the grapes are harvested by hand and the press wine is vinified in oak barrels.

The dress is gold color.

In nose as in mouth: first attack on fragrances of white flowers and citrus fruits like litchi, mango or pink grapefruit of Florida. In the second attack, toasted brioche, sweet almond and small spicy notes. The finish is very mineral.

Food and wine pairing: Elegant with warm Marennes-Oleron or Belon oysters or hard-boiled eggs with caviar. Perfect with fish in sauce, such as sea bass, Saint-Pierre or turbot. Wonderful on white meats with morels from the Périgord.

To be kept in the cellar: bottle lying down protected from light and noise with a hygrometry of 70 % and with successive tastings until its qualitative asymptote.
