"The prestige vintage Rosé from the Deutz House, from their best plots."

This Champagne is a blend of Pinot Noir 55% from Aÿ, Verzenay and Bouzy (all Grand Cru), and 45% of Chardonnay variety from the towns of Avize and Chouilly (both Grand Cru), and from Villers-Marmery (Premier Cru).

The colour is intense pink.

To the nose are disclosed delicate notes of red fruits like wild strawberry or redcurrant enhanced by fine vanilla notes.

To the palate : mashed wild strawberry, blackcurrant and spices like grey pepper, ending on a pastry note. Beautiful lingering finish.

Food pairings : as an aperitif or with an entrée of grilled lobster, or with fishes like grilled red mullet, or sauced St. Pierre, or even with meats like Kobe beef carpaccio, a sucking lamb or a pigeon with Basque country or Montmorency cherries.

The Deutz House was born in Aÿ, where it still is, in 1838.

It was founded by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann, born under the First Empire, and both from Aix-la-Chapelle.

The Champagne lay for many years in cellars that are 3 kilometres long and between 20 and 60 metres deep, under the roots of vines that were planted on one of Aÿ’s slopes.

The Houses owns an important vineyard of around 40 hectares, mainly located in Grand Cru and Premier Cru.
