Larmandier-Bernier

The Larmandier and Bernier families have been involved in the Champenois vineyards since the French Revolution. As early as the 18th century, the Larmandiers also participated in the rise of Côte des blancs with the renown of their Cramant Blanc de blancs Nature.

Founded in 1971 by Philippe Larmandier and his wife Elisabeth Bernier, Maison Larmandier-Bernier is today run by their son, Pierre, who is committed to offering the purest expression of this great terroir through natural viticulture.

What is the history of Maison Larmandier-Bernier?

Since their establishment in Champagne, passion and know-how have always been passed down from generation to generation within both the Larmandier and Bernier families. From the 20th century onwards, Jules Larmandier produced Champagnes with remarkable taste qualities, and it wasn't long before many top Parisian restaurants were interested in them. Accompanied by his wife Sophie, the couple are constantly improving the quality of their farming practices, having converted their... See more ...

Description Larmandier-Bernier Longitude.

It is an Extra-Brut Champagne of assembly coming exclusively from the Côte des Blancs of the Premiers crus: Vertus, Oger, Avize, Cramant and composed exclusively of type of vine Chardonnay.

The House of Larmandier-Bernier named it Longitude, a nod to the longitudinal line of the 4th meridian virtually passing through these villages.

The color is bright gold with some light and fine green reflections

On the nose as well as on the palate: spring and summer white flowers such as apple, pear, peach, with very pronounced notes of citrus fruits such as Menton lemon, litchi, kumquat and Bergamot from Southern Italy. The finish is very long with elegant hints of vanilla wood and a very pure and beautiful minerality.

The bottles are stored on laths for at least 3 years and the disgorging, a nod to the past, is still done manually before shipping.

To be served around 8 to 10°C as an aperitif on smoked salmon or caviar canapés, as an appetizer on grilled and seasoned Provencal peppers, on grilled fish à la plancha such as sea bass or red mullet, on white meats flavored with truffle morels from Querçy or Alba from Piedmont of Italy.

The bottles will be kept lying down, protected from light and vibrations, with an optimal hygrometric degree of 70%. To be tasted from time to time in order to measure its evolution and capture the moment of its qualitative asymptote.
