It is a wine which comes exclusively from a plot called "Les Pucelles" classified Premier Cru whose average age of the vines is 60 years, planted in 1955, a remarkable and rare quality.

The soil is clay-limestone thanks to a light and stony soil. Small water sources prevent drying out in summer.

It is a vintage exclusively of the year 2019 and of 100% Chardonnay grape variety.

The color is golden with some shiny green reflections.

On the nose and on the palate: a very nice aromatic palette of white-fleshed fruits such as vine peach with a remarkable finish on citrus notes such as lemon from Menton, grapefruit and candied currants.

The bottles should be stored lying down protected from light and vibrations with an optimum humidity level of 70%.

It is a wine to keep with successive tastings to measure its development and capture its peak which should appear around the 2030s. The serving temperature is between 12 to 14 ° C.

Food / wine pairing: with meats in a sauce such as beef bourguignon flavored with Bordeaux porcini mushrooms and Quercy truffles or white meats in a sauce flavored with morels or shiitake.

Ideal with a truffled Bresse chicken, a filet of sole with porcini mushrooms or an American lobster.

It is Olivier's grandfather, Joseph Leflaive, who, in the aftermath of the 1st World War and the bankruptcy of his steel plant in Saint-Etienne, will initiate the expansion of the estate, his investments in Burgundy being all he had left.

The estate becomes a family farm of 35 hectares. His son Joseph Régis, insurer, and his brother Vincent took over in 1953.

The house quickly acquired its titles of nobility, in particular thanks to the arrival in the 1970s of air conditioning in Puligny, a considerable advance for this village built two meters above the water table which did not have underground cellars.
