The harmony of the wines of Château Poujeaux is enriched by a vineyard with a balanced grape variety, a vinification in full berries, an aging in barrels, thus ensuring a dense and silky wine, complex and subtle, respectful of its terroir, vintage after vintage.
Vineyard blend : 55% Cabernet Sauvignon - 42% Merlot - 3% Petit Verdot
A splendid garnet-red color with hints of purplish hue, this wine's bouquet transports us into a complex dimension. Ripe, almost jammy black fruits such as cherry, blueberry and blackcurrant are present. After aeration, a floral dimension can be detected, with lily and violet. On the palate, the attack is fresh and full-bodied. The body is powerful and the tannins tight. Fruity aromas express themselves greedily. A few more years of cellaring will be needed to allow the wine to round out a little and the tannins to develop a patina.
