Château Quinault l'Enclos

The Château Quinault l'Enclos is located in the Saint-Emilion vineyard, on Rive droite of Bordeaux. The archives attest the existence of this Château since the XVIIth century. The Domaine belongs to the famous Château Cheval Blanc since 2008, it is thus the technical teams of this last one which ensure the management of it, since the vineyard until the vinifications. They give it just as much care and attention to make it the most elegant wine possible.

The Château Quinault l'Enclos is a Grand Cru Classé of the Saint-Emilion classification.

The Château Quinault l'Enclos is based on a vineyard of 19 hectares of vines, planted on sandy gravel soils supplemented by clay. The soil is worked with precision. The grape varieties are 68% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 40 years. The wines are aged for 18 months in French oak barrels of which 50% are new.

The Château Quinault l'Enclos is a wine of great elegance and voluptuousness, seductive in its freshness and finesse.

Description Château Quinault l'Enclos 2017.

It appears in the glass with a lovely purple hue with purplish highlights. On the nose, it offers a superb expression of fresh fruit. A harmonious blend of blackcurrant, blueberry and light oak. Roses add depth. The palate is supple on the attack, with a melting body. The tannins are velvety and very enveloping, giving a very mellow sensation on the palate. A beautiful tension provides the necessary balance and lasts right through to the very persistent finish on greedy aromas.
