The 2002 vintage in the Bordeaux vineyards was a very dry year, although some rainfall provided the vines with the water they needed. The summer was rather cool, but the beautiful conditions of September became ideal for the harvest of the white grapes, with warm and sunny days.

Blend of the 2002 vintage : 78% Sauvignon blanc, 22% Sémillon

It has a well evolved straw yellow and old gold color, very bright.

The nose reveals intense hints of dried fruit, orange blossom and melon, followed by boxwood, nutmeg and white pepper.

On the palate, it is breathtaking, showing an almost caressing touch in the attack, before revealing a beautiful aromatic intensity and much freshness. Sweet spices, quince and cooked fruit are found throughout, and the long finish majestically concludes this great Graves white wine.

Food and wine pairing :

Château Haut-Brion white 2002 can be paired with different types of dishes. It will accompany the most noble fish dishes, such as scallops with perfumed cream, grilled lobster, Saint-Pierre or Turbot.

It can also go very well with poularde with truffles, sweetbreads in cream sauce or veal orloff.

With cheese, choose Selles-sur-cher, Ossau-Iraty or Pouligny-Saint-Pierre.

Finish it off with a pear charlotte, a lemon pie or a dessert.
