The Armailhac House belonged to the Armailhac family since the 18^th century, up until 1933, when it was bought by baron Philippe de Rothschild, whose family still owns it.

This wine is a fifth Grand Cru classified Pauillac from the 1855 prestigious list.

The vineyard spreads on 40 hectares, with an average age of 50 years, and production amounts to 145 barrels per year depending on the vintages, that is to say 175.000 bottles for an average yield per hectare of 2.500 to 2.700 litres.

Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon 57%, Merlot23 %, Cabernet France 18% and Petit Verdot 2%.

The whole harvest is done by hand and the wine is matured entirely in barrels, of which a third in new barrels, for 15 to 18 months depending on the year, before being bottled.
