Grand Cru Classé de Graves.

- +

This Grand Cru Classé of Graves is based on clay-limestone soils exposed on the eastern slope, guaranteeing optimal exposure of the white grape varieties for 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Sémillon.

The wine was aged 15 months on lees, including 11 months in French oak barrels.

The color is pale and shiny, with light green reflections.

The nose is discreet with notes of citrus fruits such as lemon from Menton or pink grapefruit from Florida, yellow fruits such as peach, pears, plums and hazelnuts, toasted almonds, dried fruits ...

The palate is round, full-bodied, suave, with aromas of very ripe fruit. The finish is fresh, energetic and tense.

The bottles should be kept in the cellar, protected from light and noise, with an optimum humidity of 70%.

It is a wine for laying down, the current peak of which will probably last for a few more years.

Serving temperature: Between 12 ° C and 14 ° C.

Size : 750ml
Alcohol Degree : 13,5°

The domain owes its name to the tower which stands in the main courtyard of the castle. It is the vestige of a fort built in the 12th century by the ancestors of Montesquieu.

The structure then occupies a strategic position and controls the road linking Bordeaux to Toulouse. The stones of the fort will be used to build the current castle at the end of the 18th century.
