Château Pavie-Maquin is a Saint Emilion Grand Cru classified B, located to the south and not far from Saint-Emilion, overlooking the prestigious Fongaban valley.

It is Mr. Albert Macquin, a specialist in the study of American rootstocks and the art of grafting to whom we owe the reconstitution of the vineyard after the phylloxera crisis who added his name to that of this prestigious Château. .

The entire vineyard, which covers around 16 ha, is all in one piece and is set on a plateau.

The average age of the vineyard, which is 35 years, is based on a clay-limestone soil and subsoil, cracked, which allows an exceptional drainage of the vineyard.

Grape variety: Merlot noir 75%, Cabernet franc 20%, Cabernet Sauvignon 5%

All the harvest is manual with sorting table in the cellar.

The total production is 67 barrels, or about 80,000 bottles for an average yield per hectare of 5,300 to 5,400 bottles depending on the vintage.

The wine is aged in the proportion of 80% new barrels for 18 to 20 months.
