Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé A.

- +

The color is intense purple,

The nose is complex, fruity, floral and fresh. Aromas of fresh fig, blackberries, red fruits such as cherry and raspberry.

The tasting delighted by the power, richness, volume and density. With great balance, it is the alliance of power and delicacy, maturity and freshness. Complete and complex, smoothness is its key word.

A wine of very long aging, it will evolve in our opinion towards a complex aromatic bouquet.
preserving freshness while retaining maturity.

Size : 1500ml
Appellation : Saint-Emilion
Vintage : 2014
Color : Red
Classification : 1st Classified Growth A (St-Emilion)

Since 1871, the surface area of Château Cheval Blanc has remained unchanged: 41 hectares including 37 hectares in one piece located on the Saint-Emilion plateau at the edge of the Pomerol appellation.

The vines are planted on roughly identical clay-gravelly soil in the subsoil, supplemented with ferric concretions in places, thus forming a unique terroir.

The average age of the vineyard is 40 years but the oldest vines date back to 1920.

The grape variety is original and very specific: Cabernet franc: 49%, Merlot 47% and Cabernet Sauvignon 4%. The production is of the order of 156 barrels depending on the vintage, ie around 180 to 190,000 bottles for a very low yield per hectare of 3,500 liters.

Château Cheval Blanc is Grand Cru Classé A, the highest step in the Saint-Emilion classification since 1954 and at the origin of this classification.

All the harvest is manual and the wine is aged each year in new barrels for the whole for 18 months before bottling.
