Château La Tour Carnet dates back to the 12th century with a medieval architecture: a tower built in 1120 surrounded by moats. The vineyard was planted in 1407.

This wine is a fifth Grand Cru classified Pauillac from the 1855 prestigious list.

The vineyard spreads on about 115 hectares with mainly a chalky soil covered with a layer of gravel.

Grape varieties : Merlot 59%, Cabernet Sauvignon : 37%, Petit Verdot : 3% et Cabernet Franc : 1%

The whole harvest is done by hand with a yield of 3.000 to 3.500 litres per hectare and the wine matures in barrels for 16 months, with 30% of new barrels.
