The year 2015 is one of the house's very good vintages. Following a long scorching and dry period, this allowed a very good flowering until the arrival, in August, of miraculous rains. These rains allowed the grapes to reach perfect maturity.
Blend of 50% Merlot Noir, 8% Cabernet Franc and 42% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The color is deep garnet red.
The nose is round and intense, we find notes of red and black fruits such as blackcurrant, burlat or black cherry from the Basque Country. There are also spicy notes such as liquorice, cloves.
The palate is of great finesse, and reveals the relief of ripe fruit, mixed with cocoa bean.
The finish is long with hints of mocha.
An exceptional rating from the famous Robert Parker: 100/100. It is a Premier Grand Cru Classé that will continue to increase in value.
It is a wine to keep for which care will be taken to allow the bottles to age in the cellar, lying down, away from light and noise with a humidity of around 70%.
It is a wine which is bordering on its peak nowadays but whose asymptote can continue to evolve until the 2040s. Successive tastings are to be done in order to measure the evolution of the wine.
