It is a blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc.

The dress is intense

The nose is greedy, marked by red fruits, then a touch of undergrowth and tobacco.

The texture is suave and tight, slightly spicy. The tannins are present but the mouth is silky and the finish is long and tight.

This château belongs to the prestigious St Julien appellation.

It is classified 3rd grand cru according to the prestigious list of 1855.

It is the 1755 archives that reveal the existence of Château Langoa, but it was not until 1821 that the name Barton was added to it from the name of its owner, whose origin of his ancestors is Irish.

The vineyard covers approximately 20 ha and the average age of the vines is 35 years.

It is based on gravelly and clayey soils and subsoils.

Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon 74%, Merlot noir 22%, Cabernet franc 4%,

All the harvest is manual with sorting of the berries in the cellar and production amounts to around 70 barrels depending on the year for an average yield per hectare of 4200 bottles.

The wine is aged in oak barrels, 50% of which are new, for around 230 months.
