Wine and spirits masterpieces to your doorstep
The Château Suduiraut is among the greatest wines of the Sauternes vineyard. The property dates from the 17th century and has sumptuous gardens designed by André Le Nôtre that allow it to blend into the vineyard.
The Château Suduiraut was named Premier Grand Cru Classé during the classification of the wines of Bordeaux formalized in 1855 for the Universal Exhibition in Paris.
Owned by the AXA vintages group since 1992, its quality as well as its reputation have continued to grow until it is now one of the best wines of Sauternes. Nothing is left to chance to satisfy this objective: passion of the teams, tailor-made choice of plots, selective harvesting, rigorous vinification and blending.
The Château Suduiraut watches over a 91-hectare vineyard planted on sandy-clay gravel soils. The grape varieties are 90% Semillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. The wines are aged for 18 to 24 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new.
In sweet wines, the property produces a Secnd wine, Les Lions de Suduiraut, as well as a third wine, Castelnau de Suduiraut.
The property also produces four white wines Sec in the Bordeaux appellation, which are in order of quality: the grand vin, a Pur Sémillon cuvée, Lions de Suduiraut, and S de Suduiraut.
The Château Suduiraut thus delivers many facets of the great terroir of Sauternes. The great sweet wine is renowned for its sublime aromas of flowers and fruits, its elegance, freshness and harmony in the mouth.
Château Suduiraut, classed as a Premier Cru in 1855, is made from grapes selected from the finest terroirs of the property.
This wine is hand crafted at every stage of its elaboration and reveals remarkable finesse and complexity and a golden colour reminiscent of the sun that made it possible.
With age the bright gold evolves to a dark amber colour. With an extensive life-span, it powerfully and harmoniously combines fruit and floral aromas with roasted and candied notes.
