Château Lynch-Moussas
Château Lynch-Moussas is located on the large plateaus west of the Pauillac appellation. Its name is inspired by the plateau where most of its vineyard is located.
The Château Lynch-Moussas will be named Fifth Grand Cru Classé during the famous 1855 classification for the Paris World's Fair.
The Castéja family acquired it at the beginning of the twentieth century, and since 2001 it has been Philippe Castéja who has been in charge of its management, having allowed it to give birth since then to great wines renowned for their finesse and structure.
The Château Lynch-Moussas is based on a vineyard of 62 hectares of vines planted on gravel soils, of which 75% are Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot. The wines are aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, of which the proportion of new wood is approximately 55%.
The property produces a Second wine, Les Hauts de Lynch-Moussas.
The Château Lynch-Moussas offer fleshy, concentrated wines with a fine tannic structure. Built for cellaring, they are also accessible in their youth.
