Les Hauts du Tertre 2022
Château du Tertre
Traces of this Château can already be found in the 12th century in the Archives of the Arsac seigneury, owned by the de Montaigne family, the famous French writer and Mayor of Bordeaux in the 16th century.
It borders on the north of Châteaux Cantenac-Brown and Brane-Cantenac and on the east of Château Giscours. It is located on one of the highest gravelly hilltops of the Médoc, from which it takes its name. Its vineyard is remarkable for two reasons: it is in one piece and it has a southern exposure.
It is a fifth Grand Cru Classé following the prestigious 1855 list.
Varietal composition: Cabernet Sauvignon: 45, Merlot 30%, Cabernet Franc 20% and 5% petit Verdot.
The harvest is entirely manual and the annual production is about 255 barrels or about 300,000 bottles.
The wine is aged for 50% in new barrels for 18 months on average depending on the typicity of the harvest.

Description Les Hauts du Tertre 2022.
This second wine is characterised by its juicy, rich fruit and its full, supple texture.
The 2022 vintage has provided remarkable density and tension to this plot selection, perhaps more than in any other vintage.
The dominance of Cabernet Sauvignon in this blend makes this wine a true representation of the property.
