Clos Lunelles

Quality of the clay-limestone soils, optimal sunshine with a southern exposure, natural drainage of rainwater due to the slope, excellent water regime thanks to the limestone substratum...

The Domaine possesses to the highest degree the characters that define the viticultural aptitude of a land. With the added argument of earliness, thanks to their white clay soils, which capture heat remarkably well.

In 2001, the former Château Lapeyronie, which has since become Clos Lunelles, emerged from relative anonymity into the light.

That year indeed, "struck by the magic wand of Gérard Perse" according to Robert Parker's formula, the small Domaine of the Côtes de Castillon (8.5 hectares) was to reveal the immense potential of its terroir by being granted, from the very first vintage of its new purchaser, a score of 93 out of 100 by the famous American commentator.

Description Clos Lunelles 2022.

James Suckling : 94-95 "Energetic. Super salty. Crushed chalk. Contrasty."

Jeff Leve : 93-95 "The wine is rich, dense, opulent and mineral-driven, so you find a strong, oceanic-influence."

Jeb Dunnuck : 93-95 "medium to full-bodied, with a dense, concentrated mid-palate and ripe tannins. This is great Castillon."
