Marcel Deiss

The Deiss family's roots go back to the 18th century in the village of BERGHEIM, just three kilometers from RIBEAUVILLE, in the heart of the Alsace wine-growing region.

Today, the vineyard is run by Jean-Michel DEISS, assisted by his son Mathieu. Traditions that have been handed down for almost three centuries.

The vineyard today covers 27 hectares spread over 9 communes and 220 parcels.

The vineyard is structured entirely in complantation, meaning that each parcel may have been planted with different Alsatian grape varieties, leaving it to the reasoned choices of this family of winegrowers with almost three-hundred years of expertise. A blending technique before the winery!

Description Marcel Deiss Schoenenbourg Grand Cru 2016.

The SCHOENENBOURG, ever reputed since the Middle Age is the flagship of the famous RIQUEWIHR vineyards. This terroir is composed of chalky marls and is particular due to its topography with southern exposure and steeply slopes.
