This is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé.

The Archives reveal the existence of this Château by deed of acquisition in 1685.

Château Grand Mayne covers an area of 18 'hectares consisting of clay-limestone on the hillside part, clay in the central part foot of the hillside and sand on clay in the lower part of the vineyard.

Varietal composition: Merlot 75%, Cabernet Franc 15%, Cabernet Sauvignon 10%.

All the grapes are harvested by hand and the wine improves initially for 14 to 20 months depending on the vintage in new barrels in the proportion of 70% to 100%.

The production depending on the year is about 83 barrels or a small hundred thousand bottles or an average yield of about 4100 to 4200 liters per hectare.
