Château La Tour Carnet

The Château La Tour Carnet was named Fourth Grand Cru Classé in the famous Médoc wine classification of 1855, made official for the Paris Universal Exhibition.

It is today owned by businessman Bernard Magrez, who continues to innovate and invest in it, both in the vineyard and the winery, making this Grand Cru a true model.

The vineyard rests on Günzian gravel soils on a clay-limestone bedrock, covering an area of 178 hectares planted with 59% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet franc. The grand vin is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, 33% of which are new. The Second wine of the property is called Les Pensées de la Tour Carnet.

Since 2020, a white wine Sec is produced on the property, Château La Tour Carnet white, from 1.25 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon vines.

The Château La Tour Carnet embodies the excellence of the Médoc Grands Crus Classés, offering complex, fine and seductive wines.
