Chambertin Clos de Beze

Chambertin-Clos de Bèze belongs to this outstanding terroir that is Cote des Nuits, also called Burgundy’s Champs Elysées.

Located between Dijon and Corgolin, 300 kilometres from Paris, the Cote des Nuits vineyard grows on a narrow hillside that stretches on about 20 kilometres and sometimes no more than 300 meters wide.

The Clos de Bèze broke into history around the year 640 and stayed the Burgundian Abbey‘s property until 1219, when it was sold to the canons of Langres, who kept it until the French revolution in 1789.

The Clos de Bèze shares with the Chambertin the Imperial Crown and is one of the Grands Crus named that way since the 1937 decree.
