The story goes back several centuries, when the Duroy family acquired the property in 1662. Over the generations, this family with a passion for wine and terroir has pRéserver and developed Domaine, while striving to maintain the winemaking traditions that have made Saint-Estèphe famous.

Terroir is the mainstay of its exceptional wines. The vineyards cover almost 50 hectares, situated on the clay-limestone soils typical of the Saint-Estèphe appellation. This region, located on the Rive gauche of the Gironde, benefits from an ideal microclimate for growing Bordeaux grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.

The Duroy family attaches great importance to environmental preservation and sustainability. The vines are worked with care, favoring nature-friendly practices and minimizing the use of chemicals. Respect for the terroir is a priority, guaranteeing the exceptional quality of the grapes.

The grapes are harvested by hand, allowing careful selection of the ripest and healthiest bunches. This meticulous approach ensures that only the highest quality grapes are used to make the wines.

Winemaking at Château Meyney combines tradition and innovation. Grapes are vinified with care, using modern techniques that pRéservent the pure expression of the fruit. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, allowing precise temperature control and thus preserving freshness and aromatic complexity.

The wines are distinguished by their elegance, character and authentic expression of the Saint-Estèphe terroir.
