Château Le Bon Pasteur

A very nice reference nestled in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, Château Le Bon Pasteur was founded in the 1920s by the grandparents of the famous oenologist-consultant Michel Rolland. The latter took over in 1979, implementing numerous technical innovations that quickly contributed to its international reputation. Accompanied by his wife Dany, they have never ceased to magnify the greatness of the terroir of their Domaine, offering complex and richly elegant wines. Today, the team is led by Benoît Prévot and Michel Rolland remains the consultant.

The Château Le Bon Pasteur is based on a vineyard of 6.6 hectares of vines, planted on gravel-clay and gravel-sand soils. The grape varieties are 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The wines are aged for 15 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 80% of which are new.

The Etoile de Bon Pasteur is the Second wine produced on the property.

The Château Le Bon Pasteur produces wines that are almost exemplary in that they are so refined, velvety, and deep, developing sublime evolutionary aromas after a few years of aging.
